How the inside-out class method works in practice

Kökönyösi Primary School and Elementary Art School in Komló, Hungary, faced the challenge of making students more independent while adapting classroom teaching to a new “inside-out” learning model. Using Microsoft Corporation products and services such as Microsoft Teams and Office 365, the school launched a pilot with 13 students in January and expanded it with 10 more students in March.

Microsoft Corporation helped the school build digital lesson materials and cloud-based workflows for German and biology, supported by tools like OneNote, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Forms. Teachers found class preparation easier because materials were available in the cloud, and students benefited from more structured online learning and varied practice activities. The initiative improved digital competence, reduced the need for printed materials, and the school plans to expand the program to more classes and subjects.
