Henkel calls on cloud telephony to improve global conversation and efficiency

Henkel AG & Co. KGaA, the Germany-based consumer goods company, was looking to improve collaboration and efficiency across its global workforce as part of its workplace digitalization journey. Working with Microsoft Corporation, Henkel adopted Skype for Business Online and Microsoft Office 365 cloud telephony services, including Cloud PBX, PSTN Calling, and PSTN Conferencing, to replace traditional PBX systems and support communication across devices and locations.

Microsoft Corporation implemented an integrated cloud-based voice and meetings solution that enabled employees to make, receive, and transfer calls anywhere while also supporting video, conferencing, and real-time coauthoring. The results included greater mobility and productivity, faster adoption across the organization, and lower costs: Henkel expected telephony costs to fall by up to two-thirds in Belgium, about half in Rocky Hill, and significant annual support savings at its Düsseldorf headquarters, while also reducing travel costs through better conferencing.
