Aurora Health Care, a regional integrated health system serving communities in Wisconsin and Illinois, wanted to make online healthcare services as easy and customer-friendly as in-person care. To do that, the organization worked with Microsoft Corporation and its Azure platform to modernize its websites, improve speed, and simplify tasks like finding a doctor, scheduling appointments, and paying bills online.

Microsoft Corporation helped Aurora Health Care migrate its sites to Azure and build a flexible cloud-based environment using services such as Azure Cloud Services, Azure SQL Database, Azure Storage, Azure Content Delivery Network, and Azure Virtual Machines. The result was a major improvement in agility and user experience: deployment times dropped from eight or nine hours to under 20 minutes, and online appointment scheduling increased by 500%.
