Golf center tees up innovation with Windows 10

Gregg Rogers Golf Performance Centers, a PGA-recognized golf training facility near Seattle, wanted to overcome the perception that golf is difficult and expensive. Owner Gregg Rogers sought to accelerate the learning process for his customers by providing them with detailed, data-driven feedback on their golf swings. To achieve this, the company worked with Microsoft Corporation and partner Taqtile to develop a custom training application using Microsoft cloud services.

The solution was a Windows 10 Universal Windows Platform app built with Microsoft Visual Studio and hosted on Microsoft Azure. The app integrates with golf simulators to record a player's swing, allowing instructors to annotate the video with voiceover recommendations. This data is then uploaded to a student portal, enabling golfers to access personalized feedback anytime. Microsoft Corporation delivered a solution that helped students improve faster, increased customer satisfaction, and provided the business with tools like Office 365 and Surface devices to streamline scheduling, sales, and operations.
