Cerner, a global healthcare technology provider with more than 20,000 employees across 26 countries, needed a better way to connect experts, share knowledge, and improve collaboration across its large, distributed workforce while meeting strict healthcare security and compliance needs. The company turned to Microsoft Corporation and its Microsoft 365 environment, including Office 365, SharePoint Online, Teams, and Yammer, to create a scalable communication strategy.

Microsoft Corporation implemented Yammer as the enterprise social hub to help Cerner employees find expertise, join communities, and engage with leaders across the organization. The result was about 2,300 Yammer groups and stronger employee engagement, inclusiveness, and community building, with associates using the platform to collaborate, share best practices, and stay connected through the Yammer mobile app.
