Fugro, a Netherlands-based geo-data specialist with 10,000 employees across 60 countries, needed a better way to collaborate across dispersed teams and business units. Using Microsoft Corporation’s Office 365 and related tools, Fugro aimed to replace siloed file servers and inconsistent Windows environments with a more unified, cloud-based work platform.

Microsoft Corporation helped Fugro implement Office 365, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive for Business, SharePoint, and Windows 10 with automated provisioning, supported by Avanade and Dell. The results included $150,000 in savings from retiring on-premises SharePoint, $1.2 million saved in licensing costs, and more than $320,000 saved in long-distance calling. Fugro also reduced IT labor and downtime, improved cross-team collaboration, and enabled faster customer response and project delivery.
