Jungheinrich, the Germany-based intralogistics and machinery provider, wanted to expand its online sales and customer service while replacing a makeshift, inefficient account setup tied to its internal Active Directory. The company needed a secure identity and access management solution, and turned to Microsoft Corporation’s Azure Active Directory B2C to support customer self-service and single sign-on for its growing global customer base.
Microsoft Corporation implemented Azure AD B2C as the identity layer for Jungheinrich’s Call4Service app, connecting external customer authentication to the company’s existing SAP Cloud environment while keeping customer records secure and manageable. The new system streamlined ordering, service requests, and appointment booking, replacing multiple sign-ins and manual processes; by spring 2019 it was serving 2 million customer identities, improving speed, scalability, and security.
