A Microsoft Corporation Case Study
George’s, a large U.S. poultry manufacturer, needed a better way to align business processes across its plants and divisions after growth through acquisition left it with a fragmented IT environment. With multiple line-of-business applications and legacy ERP tools, the company lacked a single source of truth for reporting and decision-making. George’s selected Microsoft Corporation’s Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 to replace aging systems and standardize financial and ERP functions.
Microsoft Corporation and partner Edgewater Fullscope implemented Microsoft Dynamics AX as a central platform to consolidate applications and data across the business. George’s expects to standardize more than 75% of its line-of-business infrastructure, save at least $20,000 annually in licensing costs, and reduce maintenance fees by nearly $250,000 per year. The new platform is also expected to improve visibility, forecasting, production planning, and business intelligence, helping George’s make faster, more accurate decisions.
