Microsoft's solution was the creation of Genetec Clearance, an automated case management system built on Azure. The platform uses Azure Media Services for automated ingestion and conversion of video, Azure Active Directory for secure collaboration, and Azure Media Analytics for advanced capabilities like search and redaction. This provided a centralized, secure, and CJIS-compliant way for agencies to access, analyze, and share evidence. The result was a significantly faster investigative process, reduced costs by eliminating couriers and physical media, maintained chain of custody, and ultimately allowed law enforcement to spend more time protecting their communities.
