French bank disrupts traditional banking models with mobile app based on Azure technologies

AXA Soon, the mobile-services division of a French bank, faced the challenge of attracting a younger generation of customers by moving beyond traditional online banking to offer a highly interactive, personalized mobile experience. To meet these goals and disrupt the traditional banking model, they partnered with Microsoft Corporation, adopting its Microsoft Azure Mobile Engagement platform to power their new mobile app.

Microsoft's solution provided the tools for personalized push notifications, real-time analytics, and user engagement features based on customer behavior. This allowed AXA Soon to create a mobile-first, gamified banking experience. The results were highly successful, with the app quickly gaining over 20,000 customers. The project's effectiveness led other AXA Group divisions to adopt Microsoft Azure Mobile Engagement, and it served to significantly increase customer proximity for the bank.
