Duval County Public Schools, a large Florida school district, faced a significant challenge with technology fragmentation. Teachers, students, and parents were burdened by having to manage dozens of separate apps and passwords, which created obstacles to teaching and learning instead of supporting it.
Working with Microsoft Services, the district developed and launched the OneView portal using Microsoft Office 365 and Microsoft Azure. This solution provided a single sign-on hub for all constituents, streamlining access to information and tools. The results included saving teachers significant time, providing students with unified mobile access to their school work, and enabling better parent-teacher communication. Furthermore, Microsoft solutions helped the district eliminate $1.8 million in costs associated with on-premises hardware.
