Case Study: Innofactor helps Finnish students learn better with Microsoft Azure and Office 365

Finnish students discover their ideal learning path with fun self-assessment tool

Innofactor, a leading Nordic IT solutions provider and a Microsoft CityNext Partner, identified a significant challenge in the Finnish education sector: the lack of effective tools to measure and assess students' '21st-century skills' like collaboration and self-directed learning. Existing self-assessment methods generated data that was difficult to analyze, preventing teachers from gaining actionable insights to improve their teaching methods and personalize student learning.

Working with Microsoft, Innofactor developed the Skilli web-based assessment tool using Microsoft Azure and Office 365 cloud services. The solution provided students with a fun, game-like interface for self-evaluation and gave teachers real-time data on learning styles and comprehension. This enabled educators to create more effective, individualized lesson plans. As a result, students gained a better understanding of their own learning processes, and teachers received concrete feedback that directly improved their instructional methods, empowering every student to achieve more.
