Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation, a large higher education institution, faced intense competition and sought to improve the quality of its education. This provided a fully functional, remote work station for every user, allowing them to access the university's specialized applications from any device and location. The results included giving students the freedom to learn anytime and anywhere, significantly better utilization of software licenses, and a transparent, cost-effective pay-as-you-go subscription model. Microsoft's solution was easy to deploy and was praised for its high performance and reliability, even over mobile internet connections.
