Equadex - Customer Case Study

Equadex, a developer in France, sought to build a tool to help nonverbal children on the autism spectrum overcome communication barriers. Their challenge was to create a mobile app that could translate spoken language into a visual representation using pictograms, a process that required advanced artificial intelligence they did not have the resources to build from scratch.

Microsoft provided the solution through its Azure cloud platform and Cognitive Services REST APIs. By integrating services like LUIS, the Bing Speech API, and the Computer Vision API, Equadex built the Helpicto app, which successfully parses spoken commands and displays corresponding images. The results include a highly effective communication tool that reduces anxiety for users, strengthens relationships, and is built on a scalable Azure architecture for global expansion.
