Educators unite students through video and interactive virtual classrooms

Catholic Education Western Australia (CEWA) needed a way to give students across a vast, remote region equal access to learning resources, teachers, and peer collaboration. Working with Microsoft Corporation and its Office 365 tools, including Microsoft Teams, Stream, and OneNote, CEWA set out to improve communication and deliver a more consistent learning experience across its 162 schools.

Microsoft Corporation implemented an integrated digital learning environment built around Office 365, with Teams as the main hub for classes, Stream for on-demand video and captions, and OneNote for course materials and feedback. The solution improved collaboration and accessibility, supported virtual classes for remote students, reduced travel and training costs, and put CEWA on track for a net return on investment by 2020.
