Edsby, a Canada-based K-12 learning and analytics platform, faced the challenge of replacing fragmented school-district apps with a secure, unified system that could engage students, teachers, and parents while meeting strict privacy and compliance needs. Using Microsoft Corporation’s Azure Cloud Services and Azure SQL Database, Edsby set out to modernize how districts collect, store, and share student performance data.

Microsoft Corporation helped Edsby move 98% of its code base to Azure with little to no change, enabling secure cloud hosting, easier scaling, automated backups, and disaster recovery. The results included lower storage and infrastructure costs, faster onboarding for new districts, and major time savings for teachers—tasks that once took hours now take seconds—while Hillsborough County Public Schools saw over 80,000 unique users on peak days.
