Case Study: ACDI/VOCA achieves streamlined operations and better community support with Microsoft Corporation

Economic relief organization ACDI/VOCA upgrades its technology to streamline operations—and help communities in need

ACDI/VOCA, a nonprofit economic development organization in Colombia, needed to replace outdated paper-based processes that slowed field operations, created data errors, and made it hard to track grants and prove impact to donors. Working with Microsoft Corporation, the organization used Microsoft technologies including Office 365, Power Apps, Power BI, and Azure to modernize its workflows and data collection.

Microsoft Corporation helped ACDI/VOCA build in-house digital tools so field staff could capture beneficiary data on tablets, sync it to the cloud, prevent duplicate aid deliveries, and generate real-time dashboards for decision-making and donor reporting. The results included eliminating about 80 hours per month spent resolving duplicate entries, improving data accuracy and speed, and enabling faster program adjustments and more convincing impact reports that strengthened donor confidence.
