Jet.com, the e-commerce challenger founded by Marc Lore, needed a fast, scalable way to launch and support an ambitious online marketplace without building its own datacenters. Microsoft Corporation helped Jet.com implement Azure App Service, Azure Virtual Machines, Azure API Management, Azure Application Insights, and related cloud tools to speed development, simplify integrations, and automate scaling. As a result, Jet.com went from zero to a full marketplace in about 12 months instead of an estimated two years, with critical code moving through CI/CD in minutes and the entire operation running fully in the cloud with no onsite servers.
