Dutch mental health provider uses the cloud to help employees serve patients better

Arkin, a major Dutch mental health provider, faced challenges with employee productivity and collaboration due to disparate systems following multiple mergers. Its staff struggled to find key documents and internal experts, hindering the delivery of patient care. To address this, Arkin partnered with Microsoft and its partner, Rapid Circle, to develop a cloud strategy based on Microsoft Office 365.

The solution involved standardizing on Microsoft cloud technologies, including SharePoint Online for document management and Yammer for enterprise social networking. This provided employees with faster access to information and colleagues, saving time and improving productivity. The implementation also included Skype for Business for collaboration and OneDrive for Business for mobile teams. As a result, Arkin improved care-team collaboration and laid a foundation for future patient self-service, with expected significant savings in travel costs.
