Dubai World Trade Centre - Customer Case Study

The Dubai World Trade Centre, a large event venue, needed to efficiently track and manage its costly rental equipment across its massive complex. To address the high cost and inefficiency of manual tracking for over 7,000 items, they partnered with Microsoft Corporation. They implemented a cloud-based solution utilizing Microsoft Azure IoT services to gain real-time visibility of their assets.

By implementing a solution built on Microsoft Azure IoT Hub, Azure Stream Analytics, and Power BI, Microsoft provided the venue with automated, real-time asset tracking. This integration eliminated manual data entry, improved equipment allocation and invoicing accuracy, and provided data-driven insights for better inventory management and planning. The solution from Microsoft gave Dubai World Trade Centre greater commercial control and created a scalable platform for future smart initiatives.
