The Department of Industry, Innovation and Science needed a way to move beyond spreadsheets and siloed databases to get a single, customer-centric view of its interactions with Australian businesses. Working with Microsoft Corporation, the department adopted Azure Cloud Services and Dynamics CRM 2016/Dynamics 365 to improve visibility, security, and service delivery across its government programs.
Microsoft Corporation implemented a cloud-based, configurable CRM platform integrated with Outlook and other data sources, enabling shared customer data, dashboards, and workflow automation. The results included about 600 active users, 5,500 customer interactions tracked each month, faster feature releases every four weeks, and major time savings by eliminating manual spreadsheet work while improving service consistency and insight.
