Davidson Academy expands the boundaries of the classroom for both teachers and students with Microsoft Teams

Davidson Academy, a K-12 school in the United States, needed a better way for teachers and students to collaborate, share resources, and communicate beyond email and texting. The math department, which already used Windows devices and Office 365 tools, piloted Microsoft Teams to create a more connected, digital classroom and to support transparent teamwork across staff and students.

Microsoft Corporation implemented Microsoft Teams alongside OneNote Class Notebook and Office 365 to centralize files, chats, and lesson materials in one place. The result was less time spent on email threads and version confusion, faster collaboration among teachers, and a more natural space for student interaction and feedback; after a year-long pilot, the math department was confident Teams would benefit the whole school and had already rolled it out to some teachers, students, and clubs with strong adoption.
