Davidson Academy earns high marks for security through Microsoft Intune for Education

Davidson Academy, a K-12 school in the United States, needed a way to better secure its school-owned Windows 10 devices and protect students as they used them on and off campus. The IT director, Craig Browning, turned to Microsoft Corporation and Microsoft Intune for Education, along with Office 365 and Windows 10, to help manage security for 600 student devices while limiting access to unsafe apps and content.

Microsoft Corporation implemented Intune for Education to enable cloud-based device management, remote tracking, and centralized policy deployment across all devices. The result was a dramatic improvement in efficiency: device setup time dropped from as long as two and a half months to just four days, and Browning gained more time for other projects. Surveys also showed strong positive feedback, with stakeholders rating student safety highly and agreeing they had the technology needed for success.
