Using Microsoft Corporation’s Azure and Azure Cosmos DB, Symantec aimed to replace costly on-premises systems while maintaining ultra-low latency and high reliability for services serving 40 million endpoints across 150 countries.

Microsoft Corporation helped Symantec migrate billions of records to Azure Cosmos DB with minimal code changes and strong support, including the Azure Cosmos DB Cassandra API. The result was 40% lower database management costs, faster migrations, automatic scaling during security spikes, and more than five nines of availability, enabling Symantec’s teams to spend less time managing infrastructure and more time building security products.
