A Microsoft Corporation Case Study

Preview of the Cummins Case Study

Cummins puts productivity, innovation into overdrive with Microsoft 365

Cummins, the global manufacturer of diesel and alternative fuel engines and generator sets, needed to break down silos, improve productivity, and enable secure collaboration across more than 58,000 employees. The company turned to Microsoft Corporation and Microsoft 365, replacing older tools with a modern workplace platform that could support better teamwork, information sharing, and a new innovation-focused culture.

Microsoft Corporation implemented Microsoft 365 with Office 365, Windows 10, Enterprise Mobility + Security, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Skype for Business, and Yammer, supported by FastTrack for Office 365. The results included a more secure content management framework, faster search and access to information, and major adoption gains: Cummins Connect usage more than doubled, over 50,000 employees use it monthly, 62,000 employees created more than 16,000 sites and uploaded 4.9 million files, and 31 million files were moved into OneDrive.
