Freyberg Community School in New Zealand faced significant challenges with its aging on-premises servers, which were prone to crashing and causing disruptive internet outages that negatively impacted teaching and learning. To cultivate a stable learning environment, the school needed a resilient and reliable solution. They partnered with Microsoft Corporation and its partner Telco Technology Services to adopt cloud technologies, including Azure Active Directory.

The solution implemented by Microsoft, via its partner, involved migrating the school's identity management to Azure Active Directory Premium P1 and adopting Microsoft Intune for device management. This provided a unified, secure single sign-on experience and enabled remote management of Windows 10 devices, eliminating the disruptions caused by the old servers. The result was a more stable and secure IT environment that improved responsiveness and laid a foundation for future innovation in cloud-based learning.
