Crowne Plaza Belgrade differentiates guest service with smart parking solution

Crowne Plaza Belgrade, one of the city’s largest hotels, needed a way to stand out in a competitive hospitality market and make guest arrivals easier despite limited parking. The hotel worked with Microsoft Corporation and partner DunavNET to build a smart parking solution using Microsoft Azure, Azure IoT Hub, and Azure SQL Database.

Microsoft Corporation helped implement ParkNET, which uses sensors to track parking availability in real time and surface that data through web and mobile apps for guests and staff. The solution was customized and deployed in just two months, improving the arrival experience, saving guests time, and reducing traffic and fuel use while setting the stage for more IoT services at the hotel.
