Combi Terminal Twente, a Dutch shipping company managing container shipments across Western Europe, was burdened by paper-based, manual processes for scheduling, shipment tracking, and customer service. Using Microsoft Corporation technologies including Microsoft Teams, Microsoft 365, Office 365, and the Power Platform, the company needed a way to reduce errors, speed up operations, and modernize its logistics workflows.

Microsoft Corporation, together with partner AtBot, implemented AI chatbots in Microsoft Teams, OCR and flow automation for CMR documents, and Power Apps/Azure-based tools to automate shipment handling and exception management. The solution integrated more than a dozen systems and saved over 2.5 FTEs through CMR automation alone, while also helping customer service agents spend less time on routine tasks and more time advising customers.
