Colombian university enhances its email signature management with open source software that runs on the Azure platform

Universidad de Sabana, a higher education institution in Colombia, faced a challenge in standardizing the email signatures for its large user base to ensure compliance with corporate branding. The university partnered with Microsoft to implement a solution using the open source software Signtul, which runs on the Microsoft Azure platform and integrates with their Office 365 email system.

The solution, developed by partner Tulpep, utilized open source technologies like Docker and Node.js hosted on Microsoft Azure. This provided a fast, versatile, and centralized management system. The implementation automated the email signature process for 3,000 users, saving significant IT staff time and ensuring all outgoing mail consistently featured branded, compliant signatures with up-to-date institutional messages.
