Co-op champions intelligent customer experience with SAP on Azure

Co-op, one of the world’s largest consumer-owned co-operatives, wanted to improve operational efficiency and customer insight across its UK retail network. To support this transformation, it worked with Microsoft Corporation and used Azure to run its SAP system in the cloud.

Microsoft Corporation helped Co-op implement SAP on Azure with a pay-as-you-grow model, improving flexibility, security, monitoring, and reporting while removing the burden of managing its own infrastructure. The result was better product and store-level profitability decisions, stronger customer experience, and an estimated £58 million in efficiency savings by 2022.
