Tatweer Educational Transportation Services Company (TTC), a Saudi Arabian government-owned provider of school transportation, needed to ensure a safe and reliable daily service for over 1.2 million students. Their challenge was to maintain complete visibility of all journeys and guarantee system availability for critical applications while minimizing their investment in hardware and internal IT infrastructure. To address this, they partnered with Microsoft to utilize Microsoft Azure cloud services.

The solution involved migrating mission-critical applications, including Exchange email and Disaster Recovery for SharePoint, to Microsoft Azure. This provided TTC with 99.95% availability as per a stringent SLA, ensuring reliable data collection and operational visibility even in remote areas with poor connectivity. As a result, TTC is saving money on operational expenses while delivering a rock-solid service and has plans to leverage more Azure services for analytics and IoT in the future.
