A Microsoft Corporation Case Study

Preview of the City of Kansas City Case Study

City of Kansas City empowers employees, provides better services with Office 365

The City of Kansas City needed to give its 4,300 employees modern, easy-to-use technology while maintaining strict government security standards and improving service to citizens. Using Microsoft Corporation’s Office 365, the city aimed to support secure collaboration, mobility for field workers, and better access to analytics and productivity tools.

Microsoft Corporation implemented Office 365 E5 features including Advanced Threat Protection, Safe Links, Data Loss Protection, multi-factor authentication, OneDrive for Business, Power BI, and Skype for Business Online. The result was stronger email and portal security, improved mobile access for field staff, more efficient reporting and operations, and an estimated $50,000 in annual savings from eliminating a separate conferencing provider.
