A Microsoft Corporation Case Study
Cicero School District 99, a large, predominantly Hispanic district outside Chicago, needed a better way to support ESL students who had limited access to technology at home and to bring mobile learning into everyday classrooms. The district also wanted an easier way to deploy and manage devices across 16 schools while preparing students for digital testing and future careers, and turned to Microsoft Corporation with Surface Pro 3, Windows 8.1 Enterprise, Office, and System Center Configuration Manager.
Microsoft Corporation helped Cicero School District implement and image 4,000 Surface Pro 3 devices, train staff, and support classroom adoption through the local Microsoft Store. The result was more interactive ESL learning with audio, video, and reading tools; faster testing and greater student productivity; and broader technology access for students, teachers, and parents, with the district moving toward a one-to-one device goal.
