Chula Vista Elementary School District, the largest K-6 district in California, wanted to prepare more than 28,000 students for 21st-century learning while managing a large school community across 46 elementary schools. Using Microsoft Corporation’s Office 365 with the Edmodo social-learning platform, the district needed a better way to connect students, teachers, and staff while simplifying access and collaboration.

Microsoft Corporation helped implement single sign-on so users could log into Edmodo with their Office 365 accounts and work with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Sway, and cloud-based files in one place. The solution improved collaboration across the district, supported professional learning communities for teachers, and extended learning beyond the classroom. More than 18,000 students and 1,300 teachers adopted Edmodo, making anytime learning a reality and strengthening communication across the school community.
