Charitable foundation increases social program development 30 percent with Microsoft Project

Itaú-Unibanco’s Itaú Social Foundation, which manages USD35 million in social programs each year, was struggling with labor-intensive reporting and limited visibility across its growing portfolio of projects. To address this, the foundation turned to Microsoft Corporation and its Microsoft Project Online and Power BI tools to improve project oversight and streamline reporting.

Microsoft Corporation implemented Microsoft Project and Power BI to automate reporting and provide real-time dashboards that update every two hours. The result was a savings of 160 working hours per month, plus the ability to add 30 more projects each year; project volume also grew from 100 in 2017 to 131 in 2018 without increasing the operating budget.
