Centro Paula Souza guarantees security and modernity in its digital environment with Azure Security Center and other Microsoft solutions

Centro Paula Souza, a large public education authority in Brazil serving hundreds of schools and more than 292,000 students, faced increasing exposure to cyberattacks such as ransomware and cryptojacking as it modernized its digital environment. Working with Microsoft Corporation and Azure Security Center, the institution also needed a more collaborative platform for students, teachers, and staff while protecting sensitive data in the cloud.

Microsoft Corporation implemented Azure Security Center and Office 365, supported by partner Redbelt, to centralize security monitoring, identify vulnerabilities, and protect both on-premises and cloud systems. The solution quickly detected and blocked attacks, including cryptojacking and ransomware, while monitoring more than 588 million security events per week and flagging 15 to 30 critical incidents; it also improved collaboration through tools like Skype for Business and enabled new virtual learning environments for students.
