Calvert County Public Schools - Customer Case Study

Calvert County Public Schools, a K-12 district in the United States, wanted to move toward a one-to-one device model for its 16,000 students while managing a mixed fleet of shared and student-owned computers with a small IT staff. The district turned to Microsoft Corporation and Microsoft Intune for Education, along with Windows 10, Office 365, and Microsoft Teams, to help prove the concept and build a case for broader deployment.

Microsoft Corporation implemented Intune for Education to simplify enrollment, configuration, and ongoing management of nearly 9,000 devices from a single dashboard. The district reported easier deployment, no need to reconfigure devices after enrollment, improved security and privacy for student data, and a smoother user experience with individual logins; overall, Joel Parmer called it “the best year so far” and said Intune was a “godsend” for supporting group and individualized device configurations.
