Løvenskiold Handel, the Norwegian building supplies retailer under Lovenskiold-Veekerg, needed a better way to serve professional customers as its B2C e-commerce model couldn’t handle complex B2B pricing, quotes, and project-based orders. To close the gap with competitors and support its growing construction-market business, it turned to Microsoft Corporation technologies, including Microsoft Azure API Management and BizTalk Server.

Microsoft Corporation, working through its Azure cloud platform and integration stack, helped Løvenskiold Handel build a hybrid B2B portal with Azure App Service and Azure Storage connected to BizTalk and Dynamics AX. The new solution cut quote response times from 10–20 seconds to about 80 milliseconds, reduced ERP bottlenecks, handled 130,000 API calls in 30 days, and attracted 900 customers in just three months.
