Preview of the Broadclyst Community Primary School Case Study

British school uses digital tools to help students excel at learning and in life

Broadclyst Community Primary School, a UK K-12 school, wanted to modernize learning and school operations while giving students the digital skills they need for the future. Working with Microsoft Corporation, the school used tools including Surface Pro 4, Excel 2016, Power BI, SharePoint, Surface Hub, and Skype for Business to make classrooms more engaging, improve collaboration, and better connect teachers, parents, and students.

Microsoft Corporation helped Broadclyst build a 1-to-1 device program and a digital learning environment where students use Surfaces, OneNote Class Notebook, Forms, and SharePoint for lessons, projects, and communication. The results included more interactive teaching, stronger collaboration, real-world business and coding experience, and better data-driven instruction; the school also improved parent participation and streamlined meal planning, helping create a richer learning experience across the campus.
