A Microsoft Corporation Case Study

Preview of the BrightSolid Case Study

brightsolid offers its clients cutting-edge security and failover technology with Windows Server 2016

brightsolid, a Scottish data center hosting company and the technology arm of DC Thomson, was at a hardware refresh point in late 2015 and needed to upgrade its cloud infrastructure. The company engaged with Microsoft Corporation to explore new features in Windows Server 2016 and to test migrating its systems to the new server stack.

Microsoft provided a solution using Windows Server 2016, which included new features like Shielded Virtual Machines, Storage Replica, and software-defined networking (SDN). This allowed brightsolid to offer its clients unprecedented security and a seamless, automated disaster recovery solution. As a result, brightsolid believes it became the world's first production-ready guarded fabric deployment to host Shielded VMs, providing a significant competitive advantage and immediate benefit to its security-conscious clients.
