Fast Shop, a leading Brazilian electronics retailer, needed better real-time insight to improve pricing and customer engagement during a difficult economic climate. Its existing on-premises IBM BI system was slow and siloed, making it hard to analyze thousands of products and manage discounts profitably. Microsoft Corporation helped Fast Shop move toward a more flexible, cloud-based analytics approach using Microsoft Power BI and Azure services.
Microsoft Corporation implemented Cortana Intelligence Suite, including Azure SQL Data Warehouse, Azure Machine Learning, Azure Analysis Services, and Power BI, with possible use of Azure Data Factory for automation. The solution was largely built without IT help and gave Fast Shop predictive pricing insights, broader access to current data, and better alignment between online and store sales. The retailer reported faster report building, stronger pricing decisions, and new visibility into assumptions it had previously been unable to verify.
