Berendsen plc, a large UK-based provider of premium linen services for hospitality, healthcare, and other industries, needed better ways to track linen through processing, improve operational efficiency, and give clients timely information. To meet these goals, Berendsen turned to Microsoft Corporation and its Azure platform, using IoT and cloud tools to support operations across its 140 sites.

Microsoft Corporation implemented Azure together with IoT, HDInsight, and Power BI to monitor linen volume, quality, and durability, while giving staff faster access to key data on desktop and mobile. The result was improved visibility, quicker decision-making, and stronger service delivery, while reducing the burden of building and hosting on-premises systems so Berendsen could focus more on operations and customer quality.
