BD Develops Connected Health Vision, Envisions New Solutions with Strategic Consultation

Becton Dickinson (BD), a global manufacturer of medical devices, sought to transform healthcare through connected devices and data. Their challenge was to evolve from a product-focused company to one that leverages the Internet of Things, enabling their devices to share data to improve patient care. This partnership saved BD millions of dollars and over a year in development time for their first connected product. Microsoft's guidance also doubled operational efficiency, saving an estimated half of their operational costs, and prepared BD to efficiently integrate another company after an acquisition.
