Argentine Supreme Court provides faster, digitized service to citizens with cloud media portal

The Supreme Court of Buenos Aires, serving a province of 15 million people, faced significant challenges with its paper-based, in-person legal processes. These outdated methods caused long delays, high costs, and limited access for citizens and lawyers. To modernize its operations, the court partnered with Microsoft Corporation, leveraging Microsoft Azure and .NET Framework to build a foundation for a new digital portal.

Working with Microsoft partner Lagash and utilizing Azure Media Services, the court implemented the Augusta System. This solution digitized documents and videos of proceedings, enabling remote access and electronic filing with secure digital signatures. The results for Microsoft's customer were transformative: case resolution times dropped from two years to just a few months, information requests that took 50 days now occur instantly, and over 200,000 users monthly benefit from the saved time and expenses.
