Airbus, the aerospace manufacturer, needed to speed up aircraft design and production while improving safety, quality, and worker effectiveness as it scaled up output. Microsoft Corporation implemented mixed-reality solutions including Azure Remote Rendering, Azure Spatial Anchors, and HoloLens 2 to let workers access instructions, collaborate in 3D, and test designs virtually. The results were significant: Airbus expects to reduce design validation time by 80% and accelerate complex assembly tasks by 30%, while also cutting manufacturing time by about one-third and reducing human error.
