Microsoft, alongside a local partner, rapidly implemented a solution using Microsoft Azure Disaster Recovery. This allowed the university to migrate its domain and crucial services to the cloud. As a result, the institution's systems were back online just 36 hours after the hurricane hit, guaranteeing the continuity of its online courses. University leadership stated that without the Microsoft cloud solution, the outage could have lasted 30 days instead, highlighting the critical role the technology played in their recovery.
