Acumatica modernizes expense claims, solving a persistent business headache with Form Recognizer

Acumatica, a cloud ERP company, was struggling with the time-consuming and error-prone process of expense reporting built around paper receipts. To modernize its expense management app, Acumatica turned to Microsoft Corporation’s Form Recognizer, part of Azure Cognitive Services, to add AI-powered receipt processing.

Microsoft Corporation’s prebuilt receipt API enabled Acumatica to automatically extract data such as merchant name, tax, and totals from receipt images and populate expense fields in seconds. The solution reduced manual entry and human errors, cut filing time from around half an hour to minutes, and sped up finance review and reimbursement.
