ABN AMRO delivers industry-specific functionality in the cloud faster

ABN AMRO, one of the Netherlands’ largest banks, was looking to accelerate its move to the public cloud but lacked enough in-house cloud expertise after coming from an outsourced technology setup. The bank worked with Microsoft Corporation and its Azure Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE), along with Microsoft Services, to build the skills and support needed to move faster while meeting strict banking security and compliance requirements.

Microsoft Corporation helped ABN AMRO implement a CCoE with coaching, DevOps expertise, and direct access to Microsoft specialists and product teams. This enabled the bank to improve cloud governance, integrate security earlier in development, and speed regulatory approval for sensitive data use. As a result, ABN AMRO delivered cloud-based business solutions faster and more cost-effectively, including Azure applications that reduced fraud false positives and improved debt repayment processes.
