Webjet uses blockchain to simplify transaction disputes in the travel industry

Webjet, Australia and New Zealand’s leading online travel agency, relied heavily on Microsoft 365 for collaboration across Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Exchange, but its native 30-day retention and lack of dedicated backup left critical data vulnerable to cyberattacks and employee departures. To strengthen data protection and support a lean IT team, Webjet turned to Microsoft Azure and Veeam Data Cloud for Microsoft 365.

Microsoft Azure partner Veeam Data Cloud for Microsoft 365 gave Webjet immutable backups, ongoing security updates, and SaaS-based management, backing up about 2TB of Microsoft 365 data per day. The result was faster, safer recovery: a deleted SharePoint file structure was restored in minutes instead of weeks, recovery times dropped from weeks to minutes, and former employees’ data could now be retained indefinitely.
