Vipps rebuilt on Microsoft Azure with a microservices architecture, migrating to Azure SQL, Azure Container Service, Azure API Management, Cosmos DB, Azure Active Directory, Notification Hubs, and Power BI to enable APIs, push notifications, authentication, chat, and analytics. The platform delivered unlimited scalability and faster development; peer‑to‑peer transactions rose 75% while paid merchant transactions grew over 300%, positioning Vipps to add new services and compete at scale.
